Brian Leary’s story is one of perseverance, purpose, and service. Born and raised in Suffolk County, New York, he grew up in a hardworking family that taught him the value of dedication, integrity, and compassion. His parents, who often balanced multiple jobs to support their two sons, instilled in Brian a deep respect for the working middle class and an unwavering belief in the power of determination.

A proud graduate of Connetquot High School, Brian went on to earn both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from St. Joseph’s University. Throughout college, he distinguished himself as both a leader and a servant to others — serving as President of the Intramurals Association, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, competing in Men’s Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field, and contributing to numerous honor societies including Delta Mu Delta, Kappa Gamma Pi, Delta Epsilon Sigma, and Sigma Iota Chi.

With over fourteen years of professional experience as a full-time accountant at a nationally recognized firm, Brian has built his career on precision, accountability, and trust. He has advised a broad range of clients and earned a reputation for solving complex financial challenges with fairness and common sense — qualities he believes are equally essential in public leadership.

Beyond his professional work, Brian remains deeply rooted in his community. He proudly serves as treasurer of his local PTA, volunteers on his school district’s budget advisory and legislative committees, and embraces his favorite title of all — “Class Dad” to his seven-year-old son. His involvement in one of the state’s largest suburban school districts has given him firsthand insight into the strengths and struggles of public education and the families it serves.

A lifelong advocate for education reform, economic renewal, and public safety, Brian approaches leadership with the same values that shaped his life — integrity, hard work, and hope.
